 Livelihood diversification
Linking CMDRR with community capacity to cope during drought, RAAHand the community leaders initiated the expansion theProject on promoting high yielding draught resistant cassava multiplication sites to 4 other CMDRR locations, as a means for livelihood diversification. The origin of the Cassava stalk was the National Research Organization (NARO) called Namulonge in Uganda. RAAH had established a good working relationship with the management of the Research organization through its food security projects in Maridi in 2013. Therefore when the need for establishing a cassava demonstration site in Narus was conceived in 2015, RAAH had an easy access to certified cassava planting material from Namulonge
