RAAH is an acronym for Rural Action Against Hunger (RAAH). RAAH is a national Humanitarian and Development organization founded by a team of Committed and professional South Sudanese in 2004 while in exile as an avenue for supporting the South Sudanese people in their struggle to rebuild their lives and country that has been devastated by the more than a decade civil war. The primary sectors for meeting the organizations vision and mission in the delivery of services and goods, and capacity empowermentof the South Sudanese people who are devastated by war. Some of the specific sectors but not limited to them are:Food security, provision of water, skills training, gender mainstreaming and advocacy on HIV/AIDS prevention and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) enshrined in a community driven project code named (CMDRR), meaning Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction, women and youth empowerment.
RAAH is a legally registered Organization with functioning structures headed by a Board of trustees (BOT) which is the policy governing and monitoring body of the organization.

The Mission of RAAH is to promote self-reliance and assist the rural population to invest in their future regardless of ethnicity, creed, religion, gender or political affiliation, and embrace the right to respect as citizen.
The main goal of RAAH is to contribute towards improving the living conditions of the South Sudanese through attainment of sustainable community driven service delivery and peaceful co-existence
